Omeka is a web-publishing platform that is great for managing research collections, especially if they contain lots of images, videos or other multimedia. It can be used privately, to manage resources, but can also be used to create public-facing exhibitions to share some or all of a collection.

Omeka has been built by and for scholars and is used by hundreds of archives, historical societies, libraries, museums, and individual researchers and teachers to create searchable online databases and scholarly online interpretations of their digital collections.
